our Elders
Our FCMF “Elders” are our “servant leaders,” providing vision and keeping us true to our core values. The Elders enable members of our congregation to take on projects they are passionate about in our church, in the community, and in the world. They do this through “Commissions” (similar to subcommittees).
Whenever a member of the congregation is passionate about something and wants to take it on as a project, that individual presents the idea to the Elders and then assumes the role of head of a Commission. Individuals can work on projects alone or recruit others to help. The Elders support and promote the Commission to the congregation and the pastor. As one Elder puts it, “We want to free up people in the Fellowship to do what they really want to do.”

At present, our Elders are:
John Carlson, Worship Elder. Helps plan and direct all aspects of worship.
Keith Price Foster, Mission Elder. Helps with community outreach and all relationships and services external to the fellowship.
Annie Scott, Community Life Elder. Helps address congregational communication, activities, and education … and keeps us functioning as a healthy spiritual community.
