Groups and Activities

We’re a small congregation that believes in the power of small groups. As Margaret Meade said:
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever does.”
These are our current groups during 2014.

- Weekly Potluck. Each Wednesday, members of the congregation and their friends drop by the church for great food and fellowship. Everyone is welcome!
Date and time: Every Wednesday at 6:00 pm in our dining area. Enter through the back (north) door.
- Womynfolk. This is a monthly gathering of women in the church who appreciate getting to know one another for support, inspiration, and companionship.
Date and time: 1st Monday of each month at the home of one of our members. For details, contact Annie Scott at: rascot@bellsouth.net - Mennopints. This is a monthly, informal gathering of folks who like to discuss theology while they eat good food and swallow good drink.
Date and time: 1st or 2nd of the month, with location (local brew house), date, and time advertised in the bulletin. - Movie Night. Occasionally, we provide quality entertainment in the form of inspirational movies that the whole family can enjoy in the comfort of our sanctuary, projected onto a large screen ... complete with treats and popcorn. Some families even bring their own supper as we roll out the couches and get settled in!
Date and time: A Friday night date is announced when we plan to show a movie, and the movie is typically shown at 7:00 pm. - Worship Team. We have plenty of roles that people can play in our services: greeting visitors, praying, reading scripture, presenting sermons, reading children’s stories, playing music, and providing snacks. Many of us are on the Worship Team rotation schedule.
- Faith Family Hospitality (FFH). Faith Family Hospitality is a volunteer effort that coordinates the service of 17 Fort Collins faith communities (9 host sites and 8 support congregations) to provide fellowship, overnight housing & meals each week on a rotating basis for a maximum of four families experiencing homelessness. Members of our congregation help with hosting the families at our church once a quarter. This includes greeting, meal preparation, visiting with adults and playing with children, and staying over night. We also provide our building to FFH as a Day Center for the families in the program and often provide volunteers. The families that pass through our doors our welcomed warmly and made to feel valued and cared for.
